Will a 3D printed mixing nozzle mix 2-part epoxy properly?

Yes. The 180-degree twisted internal vanes create the same static mixing action as commercial nozzles. The alternating-orientation helical elements split and recombine the two adhesive streams at each vane stage, ensuring proper blend ratio. Always dispense the first few trigger pulls to waste until you see consistent colour — same as with a store-bought nozzle.

What adhesives is this nozzle compatible with?

Ramset ChemSet 101 Plus (Pure Epoxy), ChemSet 801 (Epoxy Acrylate), ChemSet Max (Vinyl Ester), and most 2-part chemical anchor systems using the standard Ramset ISNE cartridge fitting. Fits 10mm diameter cartridges. Check your cartridge — if it takes an ISNE nozzle, this fits.

Is a 3D printed nozzle strong enough for chemical anchoring?

The nozzle only handles unmixed adhesive — it never bears structural load and is disposed after use. PLA or PETG printed at 0.2mm layers with 3 perimeters is more than sufficient. PETG recommended for better chemical resistance and durability if reusing.

How much money can I save?

What print settings do you recommend?

0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 15% infill. Print with the threaded socket facing down on the build plate — the wide 25mm base provides excellent bed adhesion. No supports, no brim, no raft. PETG at 240°C nozzle / 80°C bed for best chemical resistance. PLA at 200°C / 60°C works for one-time use. Print time: 30–45 minutes depending on nozzle length.

Can I reuse a 3D printed nozzle?

Generally no — once epoxy cures inside the nozzle, it's blocked. These are disposable by design, just like commercial ones. At $0.10 each, use a fresh nozzle for every job. If you need to pause mid-job, leave the nozzle attached — the adhesive cures from the outside in, so the internal passages stay open longer than you'd expect.
